State
helps with organic certification costs
The state Agriculture Department
will help cover the certification costs for organic producers
and processors in South Dakota.
The department offers a 75 percent cost-share reimbursement
program, with a cap of $750 per producer per year.
Reimbursement applications and supporting
documents must be sent to the SDDA for eligible certification or
re-certification expenses incurred after 10.1.2007, and before
9.30.09.
